- WhatsApp alternative. Except this is much better in some ways albeit now with plenty of teething problems (eg I couldn't find people who joined after me, except by deleting and re-installing).
- Most important of all - works on iOS (both iPhone and iPad), Mac OS, Android and Windows. So can conference chat between desktop and mobile. Fantastic!

- Facebook is mad to pay US$16 bio for WhatsApp. Everywhere which way you look, there's competition.
