Killing Kennedy by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard

  • As I get older, my reading tastes have evolved somewhat. Once, it was mostly fiction. Now, my favorite genre for books is history, especially those covering the time when I was a kid, just about being aware of events but without any understanding of their significance at the time. So good to listen someone explain all these past events well.
  • This is another good read by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard.
  • Bay of Pigs and Castro, Martin Luther King, American civil rights, J Edgar Hoover, Marilyn Monroe, etc all touched on, but as the title of the book clearly states, this is about the assassination of JFK by Lee Harvey Oswald, told in an easy to understand way.
  • My rating : 4/5

O'Reilly is just one of the talking heads guarding the inhabitants of Bullsh*t Mountain from rejoining the world of the sane. Fox News is a propaganda machine which dumbs down America by the day through disinformation and their slanted agendas. See their anchors spewing forth feces from their mouths in my visual homage to the network on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-fox-news-scylla-guardian-of-bullsht.html

Same evolution of reading habits with me. From fiction, detective, drama, in years past I now only read historical books and biographies. But would take anything written by Bill OReilly with a large bag of salt, or rather wouldn't read it at all. He has a very obvious agenda. - Pandu

Relax. It's just light entertainment, much like watching a movie.

:) Haha...

When I first saw TS post this, my first reaction was just like the two gentlemen above, and I wanted to give a cautionary remark too.
But then I thought there's no way TS wouldn't know that,:
"O'Reilly is just one of the talking heads guarding the inhabitants of Bullsh*t Mountain from rejoining the world of the sane."

And actually, taking a leaf from TS, its probably good to read people whose views are opposite to ours (no matter how fecal we may find it!), just to keep things in perspective.

[Alas (to keep within the imagery), I don't think we will in this era, produce an epic hero stout enough of heart, or deaden enough of olfactory sense, to march up that stinking Bullsh*t Mountain and slay the many-headed monster with his magic flaming sword.]
