Clueless |
- This MU team is just not good enough. If we can't even get a draw result when we need it most, against a lowly ranked team in the easiest of qualifying groups, we clearly do not deserve to go through to the next round.
- Recent performances have the same pattern - unable to break down the opposition, and always giving the opposition many many chances to score. Crap defending, sorely lacking a creative midfielder. Mistakes galore right across the team. Finishing not clinical. No magic (see Drogba the previous night, or Silva's goal).
- Last season MU won the EPL by default - the others were either on way down (Chelsea) or re-building (MC) or facing internal strife (Arsenal). This season is a completely different ball game. Luck no longer gonna get us there. Against Barca, our limitations and gulf in class clearly showed.
- Can't see us winning the EPL this season. No League Cup, no CL. Next round FA Cup opponents MC, unlikely to get through. (UEFA Europa League = waste time). So sad :(
- Pray MU 2011 NOT = Arsenal 2006.
- Responsibility for dismal state of affairs has to start with SAF and the Glazers. Spend some money and show more respect for the opposition.

Daniel Taylor (UK Guardian) :-
"The truth they do not want you to know at Old Trafford is that in the last five years United's net spend on transfers is a mere £56.9m. Or to put it another way, less than Aston Villa, with £68.2m, Sunderland's £62.7m and Stoke's £61.2m. City have spent £437.1m, Chelsea £144.9m, Liverpool £84m and Spurs £76m."

They started the season well but typical of young UK players, the team losses steam as time progresses. It seems a young team just cannot handle success and consistency. The lack of experience and maturity really shows.
