2nd bad experience trying to watch live Champions League football online via the SingTel Football Frenzy website last night. That makes it 2 out of 2 = 100% failure rate. What crap service. Completely fed up with SingTel now given how they have screwed up our EPL, World Cup and Champions League viewing.
Round 1 : Celtic v Arsenal (19Aug09) - Registered and paid online hours before kickoff but could find no record in my Transaction History. Credit card company confirmed that the match fee had been deducted. Sensing something amiss, twice I called SingTel and twice I was assured that I would be able to watch the game. Sure enough, come kickoff time and still no access. I had to make another online payment before I was able to watch the game. The next day I complained to SingTel and I was told that they would make up for the inconvenience by refunding me both set of charges ie complimentary viewing. Until today - no sign of my $12/=.
Round 2 : AC Milan vs Manchester United (17Feb10) - Given previous bad experience of pre-match booking and double charges, I decided to wait until kickoff at 3:45 am before paying and watching the game live. Had great difficulty even logging on. When I could finally log on and had made my online payment for access, website froze on me. Tried unsuccessfully to log back on until I finally gave up at 5:05 am. Error messages included "503 error Service Temporarily Unavailable", "502 error Proxy Error", "Please install Flash" (what crap, I already have it installed and the site worked fine earlier in the day when I tested it). Missed the game totally and had to resort to watching the highlights from some Russian website this morning.
Seriously 3rd world service from a so called Singapore Inc. RUBBISH ! Not impressed at all.
