Thierry Henry is a FUCKING CHEAT (2x) !

Giovanni Trapattoni : "I prefer that we'd have gone out on penalties and I am sad because the referee had time to ask the linesman and also to ask Henry. He should have done that and I am sure Henry would have confirmed that he had handled. It wouldn't be the first time that a referee asks a player whether it was or it wasn't. It wouldn't have been out of place to ask. This is not good for fair play. I have been to schools many times to talk about fair play. I tell the young children that it's so important in life. This is a bitter evening for us."

Thierry Henry : "I am not the ref. The ball hit my hand and, I will be honest, the ball hit my hand. It was a handball.". Bollocks! It was blatant hand to ball. What a disgrace. Shame on you!

Here's more (readers' comments from the UK Guardian). And here.

You could tell from Gallas' reaction after he scored from Henry's assist that he was felt embarrassed.

[Was a gunners fan in youth (when they had the famous and fully english back four with Tony Adams)]

Cheating aside, Henry is really a natural athlete:
see how he instinctively slides his hand forward/downward to take the spin off the ball and slow/trap it; almost like a tennis half-slice (to neutralise the oncoming ball's heavy topspin).

Top/natural athletes and masters' minds, instincts and reactions are amazing...

He might as well have (hand) volley-balled the pass to Gallas. No difference from what he did.

The last time I was so upset about a football incident was during the 1982 World Cup semi-final when Harald Schumacher knocked Patrick Battiston out cold and was unpunished. Germany went on to the finals and France were the victims then. How ironic.

sad, sad, sad

Theirry Henry did cheat, as it was not ball to hand, he deliberately stopped the ball with his hand.

The Irish were cheated by FIFA with the last minute seeding cheat and now by the French players as they were not good enough to win.

TS,

True. Point taken.

And I think you are right that what goes around comes around.
So, Les Bleus may have a huge karmic debt hanging over them, which will probably come-accounting at the worst possible moment in the future...such as it always is.

I am an Englishman and Arsenal fan.
I never gave Ireland a chance before the match. I feel ashamed to be a football fan at the moment. Henry should be banned from the World Cup.
I am a firm believer in karma and I think it will come back to bite France. He shamed his nation and labeled them the cheats of World cup 2010.
